In Fallout 4, the maximum level a character can reach is level 65,535. However, this is not easily attainable without the use of cheats or mods, as players would need an insane amount of experience points to reach this level.
In the base game without any DLCs, the maximum level is 50. However, with the addition of the Far Harbor expansion, the level cap was raised to 55. The Nuka-World DLC further increased the level cap to 100.
Players can gain experience points by completing quests, defeating enemies, discovering locations, and crafting items. Additionally, certain perks and items can also increase the rate at which players earn experience.
Once a player reaches the maximum level, they can still continue playing and improving their skills and acquiring new items. However, without any additional levels to gain, the incentive to continue playing may diminish for some players.
